We invite you to check out the most recent Enneagram+Yoga episode! On this episode we interview, Stacy Ferris. Stacy is a Loyal Enneagram 6, Yogi and School Teacher. She is a mother of two children, Peyton and Maddie Johnson, a 28 year veteran of the Hamilton County School System, and certified yoga instructor. Currently, she serves as a 4th grade elementary math teacher, but has also served as an Elementary Assistant Principal and Elementary Principal for 12 years of her career. Stacy has studied the Enneagram for 6 years. She is committed to many spiritual practices, but particularly enjoys yoga and Centering Prayer. During any free time that you don’t see Stacy on her yoga mat, you can find her in some mountain area, hiking and enjoying nature, on her mountain bike, hanging out with her family and friends, walking her dog, Lana, or motivating and encouraging others in various organizations in the Chattanooga area. These are some of the questions we asked Stacy that you may want to meditate on:
- Sometimes sixes can be suspicious of others and they can struggle with trust. Is this true for you and if so how does this affect your relationships?
- The deadly passion for sixes is anxiety. Does anxiety get in your way in life?
- Sixes have the tendency to catastrophize. What worries do you have about the future?
- Sixes often are seeking security or safety. When do you feel safe and secure?
- Sixes are often very loyal, responsible, committed and hardworking in their home, work and community. This can be a strength but it also can get in the way of experiencing the fullness of life. Are you learning to recognize your limits?
- Sixes have a strong desire to feel safe and secure. Do you have a strong relationship with fear? How does it show up in your life?
- Sixes are always prepared. Do you have a funny story of being over prepared to the point that it was comical?
- Do you rely more on the Enneagram or yoga in your everyday life?
My friend Kat Smith and I were recently guests on the Never Perfect Podcast, which is hosted by Beth Capecchi. Dr. Beth is a psychologist in Chattanooga, TN who reminds her clients and podcast listeners that none of us are ever going to be perfect or have a perfect life. Her podcast’s purpose is to shed light on various mental health issues and host a discussion on how they manifest and function in daily-life. Dr. Beth interviewed Kat and I about the Enneagram. The interview was a lot of fun!
Peace to you today,
Christy
